About Rural Schools Project
We are dedicated to providing expert coaching services and resources focused on the unique challenges and needs of small enrollment public school districts. This is achieved through systems analysis, needs assessments, training, and leadership coaching. Through our initiatives, we empower school leaders to achieve sustainable student growth.

Systems Analysis
No system runs perfectly. No system is too small. Too often, a system is assessed for needs at such a high level that the smaller "strands" are overlooked. A system adjustment is made that didn't fully address the problem, resulting in slow, limited, or wavering growth. We coach system analysis with one goal in mind - student growth sustainability.

Leadership Coaching
Students grow because teachers were coached well. Teachers grow because campus administrators were coached well. Campus administrators grow because District administrators were coached well. Coaching is an art and a science. We empower district and campus leaders to coach with the art of observation and the science of actionable feedback.

Teacher Retention
One of the biggest challenges today, and even greater in rural districts. We provide resources, training, and support to district and campus leadership for increasing teacher retention and expanding opportunities to hire high qualified teachers and leaders.

Vision and Urgency
Without vision and goals driven by urgency, the best practices will fail soon after implementation. However, the wrong goals, unhealthy urgency, and cloudy vision will facilitate failure just as quickly. Goal setting should be aligned to urgency. However, urgency is often misunderstood, especially in rural school districts, and the vision can be a mantra instead of driving decisions.
